Joe Laufer has travelled extensively over the past 20 years. He can provide travelogues on a number of international venues, since he has visited 50 countries world-wide to date.
Because of a personal interest in Puerto Rico, Joe has both an exhibit and slides to accompany his lecture on this unique island so closely related to the United States.
PUERTO RICO: THE CARIBBEAN'S BEST KEPT SECRET
Joe has been to Puerto Rico several times on educational research projects and has prepared a visually stimulating lecture which focuses on the history, culture and people of Puerto Rico. In 1990 he was an exchange professor at The Catholic University of Ponce. As the author of a college course on Puerto Rican Heritage, he has much to share with his audience on the subject.
After September 11, 2001, the travel industry was hit very hard. Many people cancelled their travel plans, basically because of the fear of flying and the uncertaintiy of conditions overseas. Joe has travelled extensively during the past 15 years, and has put together a lecture which crystalizes all of the experience he has gained during his trips with groups to almost 50 countries worldwide. Topics include: Calming the Fear after 9/11; Top Ten Travel Secrets; The Ten Commandments of Travel; The sequel: Ten More Travel Secrets; Packing Light and Right; The three rewards of travel: Anticipation, Realization and Remembrance.
